What brought you to work for CASA?
I am currently enrolled in an internship course that allows me to gain real world work experience while receiving course credit. CASA seemed like the right fit due to the nature of the work, advocating for the best interests of children, and the optimistic attitude of all office members.
Why is CASA important?
CASA is important because it gives children a voice when they need it the most. CASA ensures that all children that have endured neglect or abuse will live in an environment where they can thrive, be anyone or anything they want to be, and succeed in life.
What do you do outside of CASA?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside, working out, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
How do you wind down? Any self care tips?
Every evening I enjoy stretching, doing my skin care routine, listening to music, and reading a fiction book. I limit my screen time before bed that allows me to wind down, relax, and get a good night’s sleep.
What is one thing people may not know about you?
I danced competitively with a dance team organization for 12 consecutive years. My favorite genre of dance is hip-hop.
What is something interesting you learned recently?
I have learned that the only person holding me back from succeeding in life is myself. Being consistent, persistent, passionate, and taking risks will get you far in life.
